New York Medical University provides an MD program of both 5 years 6 month. The 5 years 6 month program includes the students who are entering a medical school in NYMU without a Bachelor Degree. Students holding a Bachelor degree in science from an accredit university can directly enter the 4 years MD Program. Students graduating successfully from accredited colleges or high schools must enroll in the 5 years 6 month MD program.
Below is the overall structure of the MD program and credit hours:
Premedical Curriculum : 1 Year 6 month 1800 hours.
Basic Science Curriculum : 1 Year 6 month 1800 hours.
Clincal Rotations : 2 years 6 month 2100 hours.
Total hours = 5,700 hours
